Mixing is more than creating a good balance. It's portraying emotion and meaning. It's creating sonic depth and movement. Let me help you enhance your sound while staying true to your creative vision. I also specialize in Dolby Atmos mixing (not essential for your release, but a good extra-step for Apple Music, Tidal and Deezer).

Commercial & Broadcast

I provide professional music services for TV, radio, podcast and film. I have made stingers and ads for radio, and music re-creations, covers and karaoke versions for prime-time television programs.

Mastering

A good mastering engineer will make sure your art can compete with any other professional record on the market. It involves technical precision, creative flare and industry knowledge & experience. I'm lucky enough to have hundreds of mastering credits under my belt (check out my muso.ai profile!)

Session Musician

I've been an on-and-off drummer for 20 years, and a guitarist for around 10 years. I've got all of the necessary gear in my home studio in Melbourne (including SSL preamps and converters) to record full multitracked drum or guitar tracks if you need. I also sing, but I wouldn't put you through that...

Do you need a Dolby Atmos mix?

Dolby Atmos is an immersive, spatial audio format that can be played on any Dolby-enabled medium (including cinemas, soundbars that have Dolby capability, or even binaurally through headphones). For musicians, Apple Music is prioritizing song releases that are accompanied by a Dolby Atmos mix. Tidal, Deezer and Amazon are also promoting Dolby Atmos music. For film or TV show makers, most major streaming services (Netflix, Apple TV, Disney+ etc.) offer Dolby Atmos as an audio output option for consumers.

So, while it's not necessary to get your music, film or show mixed in Dolby Atmos, it's definitely beneficial so that you "cover all bases". If you're a musician that only wants to promote their music on Spotify, then at this current time, a Dolby Atmos mix may not be worth it.

It's also worth noting that Dolby Atmos is a growing format and will continue to expand its accessibility in the future. As an example, more than 20 major car manufacturers (including Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Tesla) are equipping their vehicles with Dolby Atmos audio from factory. So, it might be in your best interest to "future proof" your art with a Dolby Atmos mix.
